Sari Koshetz is the TSA spokeshole for south Florida.
I'm trying to get more info from Jon. But none of my comments asking for such are posting at his blog -- I have no idea what's going on, god only knows how the frigging internet works sometimes -- and I don't know when he'll have time to reply here.
Well, according to these it's Sari (Google search):
The picture posted is for:
Sari Koshetz, Public Affairs Manager of the Transportation Security ...
Sunny Goth, yes. See my comment here:
Addendum: it was covered in a lot of media at the time; here's Wired:
TSA Threatens Blogger Who Posted New Screening Directive
It is. #1 on Y Combinator right now.
I'm going to need that vacation on the nude beach with our parasol collection soon.
It was so hard not to refer to her as a spokeshole on my blog.
Jon, can you give me any other information about this "South Florida reporter"? Anything at all? I tried asking at your blog, but for some reason my comments won't post. I'd like to post an update at TSA News, but I need more than just a blacked-out screen-shot. People are going to call your account of media suppression into question, say it's a hoax, etc.
If these scanners are shut down due to your adventure, I'll buy several parasols and present them to you in person! (even though there are alligators in Florida)
Yay! jdp23 is one of the Good Guys For Privacy.
Oh, now I remember the story. I remember the photo that went with the article.
Excellent point, and agreed.
The typo was my error.
I have corrected my posts to reflect the correct spelling of Sari's name.
The picture posted is of Sari Koshetz.
It will be hard to say it's a hoax considering the second news source said the same thing (see the comments on my blog).
I can't release more now, but I *will* release *all* when I get the e-mail under FOIA.
Yes, I saw the comment from Smarter Travel and posted it earlier in this thread.
Also, the official TSA blog is no longer posting comments. Nothing new has been approved since this morning.
They must be getting inundated. Good!
I know I've left a comment or two...
And now being discussed in Australia.
Pass the popcorn, will you?
