Wondering if Rugape will tell us if new direction from HQ came out about doing a pat down on anyone screened by WBI?

    Of course he won't!

The pat down has always been the same! Nothing has changed!

They have always come into contact with external genitalia.

I guess when Thedala Magee raped Amy Alkon, that was just an unfortunate one-off.

I hope they are groping everyone who goes through the scanner. If that's what it takes for the sheeple to wake up. One grope at a time, one grope at a time . . . .

Here's the funny thing, and I'm literally laughing out loud at the thought:

This is how stupid TSA is. They are going to do this for 2 weeks, tops. And then when people take notice of this video stateside, they'll be all, "Oh, we had advance intel of people trying to break through the system. We increased our screening protocols and stopped it. Yay us!"

And then, as usual, the clerks will get bored, people will forget, and it'll be back to business as usual.

And then someone can do it again.

Round and round it goes, where TSA stupidity stops, nobody knows!

Now in mainstream media U.S.A., posted at L.A. Times just a few minutes ago (11:00 PDT):

L.A. Times: TSA responds to claims of hole in airport security system

Basically, this is another non-denying denial.

The article is open for comments. :D

The L.A. Times article did include a link to Jon's blog, although the critical post is buried 4 posts down from the top in his blog. :(

It's more than that, Mike. They admit it is a security hole! That's why they're groping people who go through it--a device with a well known hole is worthless. the fact they're giving the full monty to everyone going through it shows how serious and extensive this security hole is. the machine can't be trusted at all.

Look for LOTS of negative press rolling down on the TSA as more and more people get groped. There's a great German word for this Mr. Pistole, Closterfokken! This is too funny. Spent a billion dollars on machinery, millions on staff, put the American people through one and a half years of (expletive deleted) disputing this approach to security, and at the end of the day, it's all been for nothing, had been for nothing, does not work, and never did work.

Every one of the morons involved in this decision needs to be shown the door.

This story will be coming up on a week in the news soon. Having LA Times pick it up should help prolong the cycle and spawn a new series of commentary this week.

Just for posterity I'm going to note that at approx 11p EST, the count on Jon's video is:

    1,644,969

It's gained more than 100,000 views over a weekend. And the US media is just starting to cover it.

I'm thinking TSA is going to regret its initial reaction of "meh".

Yeah, those are all Tribune papers. Stuff gets reprinted all over the place. The Baltimore Sun is also a Tribune paper, but they're so TSA apologist over there they probably won't print this one.

The earlier L.A. Times piece is now in numerous Canadian papers under the title TSA dismisses scanner video. The good news is that they contain the video and a link to Jon's blog. ^
    • canada.com (same newspaper chain, national site)
(Heads up: I'm editing this post to add new papers as they appear.)

So how many hours of meetings has TSA engaged in since a "some guy" video hit the interwebs (I'm sure Boobie Bob knows the right words) last week?
