This is why I say people are getting what they deserve. I wouldn't say that if most people were resisting. But they're not. Most people are rolling over and playing dead. Most people are acquiescing.

Taken individually these don't sound too bad, but listed together... Geesh!

Particularly since these 20 issues are only the tip of the iceberg.

    21. How about CPS running wild in the U.S., terrorizing and destroying families?

    22. Deficit spending/Congress' repeated failure to pass a budget?

    23. The federal entrapment of improbable "terrorists"?

    24. The anti-lunch-box food police in public schools?

Americans should band together and institute a "Zero Tolerance for Asshattery" policy. It needs a catchier, clearer title. Ideas anyone?

"Welcome to Anytown U.S.A. population 35,201, a Zero Asshattery Community."

I wasn't aware of the anti-lunch-box food police in public schools thing but I was able to research it. Yikes!!!

Retirement can't come soon enough. At least then I can make the decision to stay in the US and wait for my demographic to come under siege, or move to another country.

It is interesting how prominent is the hatred of the TSA....

That list is depressing, but OTOH, encouraging signs lie in the broad popular support for Ron Paul, especially among the younger folks, which indicates a growing interest and knowledge of the US Constitution esp civil liberties, greater economic freedom (anti Fed manipulation of the economy to favor certain interests) and opposition to the police state we are getting. The lazy dumb rollover people are a significant percentage, but there are enough numbers who are not to make an effective stand, at the state level. Oregon's two senators are speaking out against the super NSA snoop site in Utah that will soon be decrypting and snooping into your electronic financial transactions, a dozen states looking into emergency currencies to use in case of dollar collapse, twenty seven states suing at SCOTUS against the illegal individual mandate in Obama care.

When your main grip on power is the sugar keg (Uncle Sugar), your power declines with the sugar supply. And make no mistake, the sugar bowl is emptying. This has positive implications for power returning downward to states and locales, closer to the people.

It's all incremental and most sound reasonable when properly spun by a clever bureaucrat. It then ratchets up into a monstrosity like TSA with over the top procedures.

Unfortunately, most Americans are too preoccupied with their diversions, too stupid to notice or too spineless to actually take a stand on anything.
