And everyone who read that article now shares in the disgust; this is adding up to a crescendo of non participation in air travel. How could not constant repetitions of such embarrassments and personal violations not have any effect? It's as if someone was deliberately out to destroy the air travel industry in the US. Think of the massive non productive/counter productive work done by those TSA clerks involved multiplied by 60,000. Useless eaters. The good thing is that this will end. Things that can't go on forever, don't.

Another member joins the fold. It's simply a matter of time before they offend every air traveler in the country and many overseas.

If only that were true. Read the 40 comments. Lots of "tough (expletive deleted), get used to it." I left a comment; it hasn't posted yet. I see that Fisher has left several.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: we are still a long way from changing the state of affairs in this country. There are still way, way, way too many people who approve of the TSA and just plain don't give a (expletive deleted) as long as they personally aren't abused or, god forbid, inconvenienced.

The civil rights movement took years. Decades. Over a century if you go back to the time of the abolitionists. We aren't going to win this battle anytime soon.

    From the comments:

So it would seem that TSA continues to be our best ally in the disband TSA campaign.

    Way to go, blue-gloved jerks!

All things being equal, I'd agree with you. However, we have a very small window of time when such useless expenditures will be possible. External financial constraints are going to make themselves felt in a big way in this area beginning with the budgetary cycle in 2013. It may be that the government keeps the gropers and instead eliminates vital government functions, but the odds are against this. Plus, the evidence is that the TSA instead of learning, appears to be getting stupider and stupider, as per the Pre Check fiasco.
