This is a red herring, because the CCTV footage won't show what happens in the "private" strip rooms. Had there been CCTV at Auschwitz, Josef Mengele could have proclaimed that all arrived happy, enjoying the band that was playing on the platform, and walked off smiling for a shower to freshen up before dinner.

It also matters little when it's the procedures themselves that are wrong. The injury is only compounded by the retards that carry them out.

We need to get one of these suits in the courts; then the flood gates will open.

 

I want to know how room is "private" if there is video footage of the events in the room. I also want to know how taking a video of an 85 year old woman's strip search is treating her with "dignity, respect and courtesy." For that matter, I'd like to know how you can strip searh someone in a dignified, respectful and courteous manner. Seems pretty undigified, disrespectful and rude to me.

Beyond that, since a professional medic treated the wound, I'd say that denying the injury is a non-starter. Leave it to the TSA to lead with an easily disproved lie.

 

Just a few more TSA employees who are well educated, articulate, and dedicated to their job as Rugape would have us believe.

There is no excuse for treating people in this manner and I honestly believe that no one should treat any TSA employee favorably.

TSA and its employees are not working to make our travels easier or safer. TSA and its employees are in fact hostile to citizens free travel.

No, LeeAnne, that's SATTSO who calls travelers liars. Ronnie will say that travelers need to expect this sort of treatment and the wound was not the fault of the TSA.

The TSA better hope that this woman's wound does not become infected. I have an elderly friend with extremely fragile skin as it appears Mrs. Zimmerman has. Her skin breaks with even the slightest bump and she has several times had infections as a result of those breaks, infections which could have killed her without diligent medical treatment.

 

John Pistole says this type of thing is a "one-off" and extremely rare if it really happened at all. Therefore, no changes are required. If this is the type of man running the TSA, guess what you can expect in the ranks below him. This guarantees we'll have a steady stream of these kinds of horror stories. Pistole and others in that derelict agency believe such things cost TSA little in terms of congressional budget support and in broader political terms.

Yet air travel numbers continue to plunge....the bottom line cost of such an agency and such employees, and such behavior. Why should this be a shock to them---if you abuse people in your security procedures, feeling them over in such high numbers even after the AIT, then randomly assaulting them at the gate, going hysterical on them over a defective ETD test and grossly massaging their private parts in a hidden room, who would want to repeat this experience. Clearly significant numbers are opting out entirely because of this anti American, anti-human agency.

People don't want their private parts felt over, looked at, or exposed. Why is this so hard for you to understand, John? Where your parents unkind to you, mean in some way? Has life twisted you to such a degree that you don't understand this, and don't care how such procedures as yours affect people? Are you this unable to sympathize with people like this old woman who was humiliated by you? What exactly has turned you into the monster you have become?

 

Makes one wonder how far TSA has to go before Congress demands that this be stopped.This is at least the fourth reported strip search including Ms. Hebshi on 9/11/11.

There was also the woman in a wheelchair who said she "felt like a criminal" after TSA made her remove her bra. The YouTube video is in the cycle here although I can't find the link at the moment.

Now, their victims are injured and bleeding yet they persist in their assault unabated.

If this doesn't get action from Congress I'm afraid that nothing will.

I've seen at least two other strip searches that didn't make the media, and they both matched the seeming protocol in this story. One was an older woman who posted on the other site asking a question in general about the search protocol and said very incidentally, "and then, after they did the strip search..." Another was a story someone posted either here or the other site, lifting a story from, I think, some Disney travel forum about another older fellow in a wheelchair hauled to a private room, denied his wife as a witness which he asked for, and his clothes taken off him despite his protests. When he asked why they did it, they said he matched a profile.

That really is quite a wound. One day these thugs are going to kill somebody.

I hope and pray that I am done with flying, but I kinda doubt it. However, these days I do the math before I book a flight. If I can drive it in 10 hours or less, I'll take the car, and that's a sea-change for me.

My chief gripe (actually, there are many), is that we're all assumed to be criminals, and we're all given a frisk that is on par with what criminals recive upon entering a secured facility (like prison). This isn't some "off the cuff" comment. I used to volunteer in a secured facility for the criminally insane.

I deeply resent that I - Rosemary Middleclass Person - am treated the same as the most egregious criminals in society because I committed the heinous act of purchasing an airline ticket.

We're no longer free to move about the country. We're prisoners of our government - apparently.

I have been screaming about this for almost two years (I know many of you have, as well). Didn't her son, who dropped her off at the airport, know what was going on in this country?? Didn't he know his mother might be abused, as thousands upon thousands of other people have been? Was he that blind?

And 11 minutes?? 11 minutes to conduct a search?? What the F were they looking for? Other than humiliation, I mean?

"Proper procedures were followed" according to the CCTV, but then the statement is made that the private screening was not recorded. Then how the (expletive deleted) do you know that proper screening procedures were followed?

Yes, they were apparently followed at the checkpoint, with the exception of the fact that the passenger did NOT request a private screening, but was forced into a private room.

If they did not force her to remove clothing, then why did the screening take so long? There is no mention by the victim that all of her carry ons were thoroughly searched. (I imagine her being so frail that they only thing she had with her was a pocketbook.)

We've had this discussion before when an elderly passenger reported that she was forced to remove clothing and the private room assault took a long time. The TSA claimed the screening was done properly at that time also. (No, I don't think this was the diaper incident.)

The TSA is forcing people to remove clothing or forcefully removing their clothing from them, IOW, the TSA is stripping people, even if only partially.

 

Yes, the TSA is stripping people, and we have abundant evidence for it. There are undoubtedly more instances of this than we will ever know. But it doesn't matter. Those who don't want to believe it will continue to deny it, those who want to stick their heads in the sand will continue to do so.

 

And those who know full well that it's happening will continue to justify and defend it, and tell us that we don't "understand".
