A Tale of Two Airports

    This part, for me, is the crux of the issue:
    TSA needs to be more consistent, more constant, more predictable. They claim that unpredictability is how they keep terrorists off guard, but that's not good enough for me. It causes a lot of agitation in a lot of air travelers when what seems perfectly kosher at one airport practically causes a panic at the next because of one ill-trained idiot TSO or FSD or whothehellever who decides that it would be fun to mix things up.

    Sounds like a standard TSA travel experience. What's new?

    I'm sure there are some good people at TSA, just wish they would make their presence known.

    Inconsistent unpredictability is better explained as the inability of the management to properly train & supervise their workers. Like everything else at DHS/TSA, they try to spin their managerial ineptitude as yet another "level " of security.
