(Get the brain bleach!)
I see TSA employees lugging around backpacks to and from work. I think some loss prevention procedures from the private sector should apply to them. I dated a girl that worked in cosmetics at a nice department store. It was company policy there that all employees could only carry a small clear vinyl purse.
John Pistole could send a proactive message by requiring the employees under his purview to do the same, if he cared. Imagine Ron carrying his little clear vinyl man purse to work!
Won't help if they're still allowed to wear jackets with iPad pockets sewn into them.
Or their goofy faux "tactical" vests.
Their uniform should be slacks and a neon pink three-button "polo" shirt, if they aren't simply dissolved. Include the "managers" in the new dress code. Coat-and-tie lends them too much credibility. If they need a way to easily identify the "managers" and "supervisors," let them be marked by varying sizes and colors of clown noses.
(The pink shirt can represent the pansification of the country.)
