http://www.khou.com/news/Two-arrested-after-disturbance-on-Continental-flight-139932593.html Seems like this guy should have never made it past the TSA BDO's, unless TSA BDO's are like fancy trimmings in a window.
But the TSA said it wasn't a security issue - that's why the vaunted BDO's didn't stop him. They knew he wasn't an "issue."
Yeah, I liked that, too. A bottle of water is a security issue, but a crazy man causing a disturbance? That's just administrative. Or something. It's like when people kept slipping knives past TSA they said, "Well, I guess knives really aren't such a big threat."
Well I will stick with the window analogy since TSA has dressed themselves all up in fancy fake-cop uniform, stripes, badges, epaulet clip on mikes, yet total fricken useless for the purpose intended.
I almost choked when I read the TSA response - "this wasn't a security issue" ...but watch out for those diaper-wearing, wheelchair occupants! Now there's a real security threat.
From The Smoking Gun, this was Sunday night ... By Tuesday he was doing Allahu Akbars on climbout from PDX. Why would they even let someone who was ramming police cars and trying to run over pedestrians out of jail? He should have been in a psych ward for observation, or maybe sent to Henderson for attitude adjustment. Major FAIL, Oregon, major, major FAIL.
$65K reasons for being let out of jail. Law authorities may have failed on the ground, but WOW am I proud there are real men flying out of PDX. This was to Houston, not from. I am impressed.
