Not to mention that it's a process ripe for abuse. Say something bad about Obamalamadingdong? You'll never be a "trusted traveller." In fact, let's put you on the "selectee" list so you have your crotch grabbed every time you fly.
Plus, if we extrapolate that out to later elections with POTUS from other parties, suddenly formerly "Trusted" people find themselves "untrusted" for saying something bad about, say, Rand Paul or Jeb Bush and those who disparaged Obama are suddenly "Trusted." Poof, innocent travelers get caught up in partisan turf wars for speaking their mind about something totally unrelated to travel.
