I'm confused. If we already have to put our shoes through the x-ray machine why do we need these? http://www.airport-int.com/news/tsa-wants-new-airport-shoe-scanning-devices.html Are these machines going to do more than the x-ray machines are doing and if so why were we taking our shoes off in the first place? And with all the talk about how our country's financial situation is in such dire straights is this expense justified because ONE PERSON out of billions of passengers tried to light his shoe on fire? Why are the politicians trying to defund programs and eliminate other agencies and yet nobody is talking about reducing or eliminating the joke that is the TSA? I feel like I'm living in the Twilight Zone.
