And therein lies the rub: TSA doesn't use equipment that actually tests for explosives. As it turns out, however, the machine apparently didn't alarm on anything. One of the Keystone Skreeners screwed up, see WCCO article below.

Terminal 2 = Southwest, Sun Country & a few smaller airlines.

Isn't it great that TSA can impose fines on a person for doing absolutely nothing?

 

Sure, as long as passengers can fine the TSOs involved in terminal dumps caused by TSOs' incompetence.

 

I kind of hope they do in this instance. I would like to see how this plays out in court...oh...wait! When TSA levies a fine it doesn't go through the "actual" court system, does it?...never mind!

 

15th such terminal dump in the past 4 months.
