The article is about a Nigerian drug mule busted by customs. She never reached a TSA checkpoint.

The picture selected to run with the article suggests a connection with a Nude-O-Scope. The caption reads:

This suggests that she was trying to pass herself off as pregnant but the super-duper Nude-O-Scope found the drugs where the belly should have been.

    Wrong. No connection whatsoever.

    Article is here ...

Should add that the way the article was laid out, the caption appeared to be the 1st paragraph & was picked up by Google to use as the abstract for the item, so if you're just cruising through Google, you get the impression that they bagged the drug mule with the Nude-O-Scope.

Another chance for me to plug the movie Maria Full of Grace. About an impoverished, reluctant drug mule. Very moving. All Americans, especially those who use drugs, should see it.

But but but...we were told the nude-o-scope doesn't produce detailed image nor can penetrate skin?
oh how could you imply you lied to us?!
    the horror! the horror!

The TSA should look for things that can be used to bring down a plane. They should have no authority to do anything else. So while I'd rather not have drug mules on my plane, if it doesn't jeopardize the safety of the passengers, I don't care.
