She wasn't even flying. She was escorting a minor through the checkpoint. Please pile on, mes amis, because the reliable "Wagner1" is up to his usual TSA defense -- actually calling for "an FBI investigation on her and her associates" -- and the typical credulousness of the Sun is nauseating. I left a comment calling them fear-mongers.

Done. Hopefully that'll help push back a bit.

In other, stranger news, I now have a bit of a taste for a ham sandwich. Except I've been pescetarian for the last 3 years. Go figger...

Always count on the Sun to suck up to any government agency. That paper can't die soon enough for me.

Look at the "knife." It's not a knife, it's a letter opener! Those laughable morons just stole someone's letter opener, and made a huge drama out of their own asshattery in the process.

The dumbest part of this melodrama is that they showed a picture of the supposed "weapon." Those poor dolts. A picture really is worth a thousand words. No one over the age of 2 would mistake that tool for a knife. If they wanted to keep their story believable, then they never should have shared a picture of their spurious "knife."

The TSA thugs had to be bored out of their skulls when they made the decision to pretend that puny letter opener was a "knife with a four inch blade." Nothing else could explain such a clown act.

But it LOOKS like a knife, which makes this great fuel for the TSA propaganda machine.

yes, Elizabeth, but it could be used to open a letter bomb! It's pretty pathetic for the TSA to trumpet success over finding a letter opener.

Does it? I looked at it and immediately saw it for what it is, a letter opener.

Irrelevant. It's not going to be used to hijack a plane and fly it into a building, even if it's a 3-4" razor-edged dagger. Or a 19" machete, for that matter. The passengers and flight crew won't allow it.

Even the Great Idiot, Kip Hawley, has noted that edged tools and weapons are completely irrelevant to current "air security."
