Here are three more entries in our continuing series, "The Other Reason the TSA Exists Besides Training Us in Obedience":

    1) "WidePoint Corporation (NYSE Mkt: WYY), a leading provider of cloud-based telecommunications life-cycle and trusted cybersecurity management announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, iSYS, LLC ("iSYS"), has been awarded ... contract to provide mobile Telecom Expense Management Services (TEMS) to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). ... total contract value ... approximately $33 million dollars..." [Emphasis added.]

    2) "L-3 Communications Beats Estimates--Analyst Blog ... Key contract wins during the quarter included ... an ID|IQ contract to supply medium-speed explosives detection and ProVision Automatic Target Detection advanced imaging technology systems to the Transportation Security Administration. Funded order backlog was $11.0 billion versus $9.9 billion at fiscal-end 2011." The "analyst" recommends this enabler of voyeurism to investors: "Going forward, we expect the company to continue to post strong earnings based on its opportunities in growth areas, including ... Surveillance..."

    3) "Morpho Detection, Inc., the explosives and narcotics detection business of Morpho, Safran group's security unit, today announced it has received a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for its medium-speed CTX 9800 DSi(TM) explosives detection system (EDS) with a maximum value of $528 million." [Emphasis added.]

And this is just one day's gleaning from my Google Alert on the TSA!

In these press-releases of dry, nigh indecipherable jargon lies the same bestial amorality of earlier corporations that exploited slave-labor from concentration camps. May these modern-day equivalents and the TSA soon meet with the same loathing, opprobrium, and excoriation that the Nazis and their partners in fascism do.
