Woman Fatally Stabbed On Bronx Street, Husband In Custody

Apparently the victim, Amarita Khan, was meeting her husband, Nazier Khan, 25, at a relative's house at 1538 Hone Avenue in The Bronx to discuss their marriage around 6 p.m. According to the Post, "the husband lost his cool and took the knife to his wife, cops said."

The couple had been sitting in a car when Nazier Khan allegedly used a gravity knife to attack his wife. Then she ran out into the driveway and onto the street, where neighbors were getting ready for a party.

One neighbor told the Daily News, "We heard the screaming, but we thought it was the kids playing. Nothing like that ever happens here, so we didn’t think much about it (initially)."

Nazier Khan continued to stab his wife, witnesses say. When police arrived, he was reportedly standing over his wife's body. Nazier Khan's mother told the Post her son, a TSA supervisor, has bi-polar disorder: "I was shocked. I never think he is capable of this. He’s a quiet boy, a good boy. No smoking, no drinking, always just working. I never expected my son would do something like this... He a very quiet boy, very keep to himself. Never tell nobody nothing, just `Good morning and good afternoon.’"

Man stabs 23-year-old wife to death on Bronx street, collapses during arrest

A knife-wielding man stabbed his wife again and again on a Bronx street Saturday, killing her in gruesome fashion in broad daylight, police said. Amarita Khan, 23, was found sprawled on the sidewalk in a pool of blood — unconscious and unresponsive — on Hone Ave. in Westchester Square about 6:14 p.m., cops said. Khan, of Richmond Hill, was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where she died. Her husband, who was found covered in blood, was cuffed at the scene, a police source said. Charges against him were pending late Saturday night.

Kids must play a bit rough in the Big Apple:

“We heard the screaming, but we thought it was the kids playing,” said neighbor Melissa Ovanda, who has lived on the block for 10 years. “Nothing like that ever happens here, so we didn’t think much about it (initially).”

Perhaps not TSA? This article says he is a "fuel supervisor for an airline based at LaGuardia Airport".

Man stabs wife to death in front of 30 people

A man stabbed his wife to death in a jealous rage Saturday outside a relative’s Bronx home, where the couple had tried to smooth over their rocky marriage, witnesses and police sources said. Wife Amarita Khan, 25, had just left the house and walked onto Hone Avenue at around 6 p.m. when her husband Nazir Khan came out behind her and plunged a gravity knife into her chest in front of some 30 horrified onlookers, cops said.

Yeah, the most common description I have found is that the individual was a line supe for a fueling group. No known connection to TSA as of this moment, except for the one article that has that as the headline. This does nothing to detract from the fact that this is a terrible situation.

I've removed the "Arrested TSA Employee" tag & moved the thread to the more general aviation safety area.

If someone this unstable was managing fuel on the flight line, that's still a major safety concern.
