The blood that should have led to the boat 16 hours earlier.
More wounded when he was put into the ambulance. With shots+ to head, neck, hand, and legs, per the hospital.

I think that description of wounds was for the older brother. I could be mistaken.

#1 had shots from head to toe.
With the throat/neck injury delivered at close range, visible in ambulance photo here. An early description:
    And updated

To compare to other photos here-ladder (post#195) and here-climb down (post #121).
    And the boat later-hull inspection.

It certainly would not go unnoticed and unobjected to. The only unknown would be the strength of the objection.

I myself don't buy the conspiracy theory that assumes everyone in government is corrupt and evil. There are sufficient numbers in government and in positions of power that actually do ascribe to the idea of governing with consent of the governed.

Name one at the Secretary or Cabinet level.

I was certainly NOT including that level of political appointee in my previous statement. I have a much higher regard for sex workers at a Nevada brothel than for the people you mention.

I was about to say Eric Holder, but wait, this is the same fellow who knew about and condoned the illegal effort by BATF in the Southwest to encourage, aid, and abet the leaking of illegally obtained firearms across the Mexican border simply to make the gun industry look bad.

the same fellow who sends arrest warrants out for users and growers of marijuana, but when officials of major banks, say HSBC, admit to knowingly laundering drug cartel money in the hundreds of billions, he looks the other way. Prosecuting them and sending them to jail would "adversely impact the economy".

The evidence is pointing to a co-opting or outright capture of the regulators/law enforcers. GAO is investigating Napolitano over the massive ammo purchase.

so yep, we have to look elsewhere for the folks in white hats. they do exist, I'm sure, but lower down in the tree, evidently.

I'm with you. Lower down the tree there is evidence that many people of good character are struggling to do the right thing for the right reasons every day.

Ms Napolitano shocked and horrified me by using SPLC disinformation in "intelligence briefs." You can't be both bright enough to be in charge of our DHS and dumb enough to believe the SPLC's malicious lies. At that point I concluded that she was a political hack and a sociopath.

What can good people do with sociopaths in charge? We really need a regime change, but the Republican party offers nothing better. We need a viable third party.

What you think about people/businesses whose losses may not be covered because they didn't have "terrorism" insurance riders? Puts the terror vs crime label in a new light. Not sure what the latest is on that.

Bloomberg News: Boston Manhunt ‘Missed the Boat’ as Police Skip Street

Sue Lund lives about five blocks from where police engaged in a wild shootout April 19 with the two Boston Marathon bombing suspects and about eight doors down from where the one who escaped alive was found 18 hours later.

Yet, during the all-day manhunt, she said police never searched her Franklin Street home or garden shed in Watertown, Massachusetts. Ten other neighbors had the same story and said they didn’t know of any homes that had been searched on Franklin, where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was discovered by someone on the street about 30 minutes after an area lockdown was lifted.

“A lot of people’s lives were put in danger because someone in charge wasn’t doing his job,” said Lund, 61, as she stood on the wide front porch of her Victorian house. “People could have been killed because after the lockdown ended everyone came streaming out of their houses and suddenly we were in a combat zone.”

Nice post hoc fallacy, Sue Lund. People's lives were put in danger because there were too many poorly disciplined, militarized police involved who got into a raging gun battle with a kid who had no gun:

Something might have spooked the police, who fired 30 or more rounds and lobbed flash grenades at the boat on the trailer. The burst of bullets shredded the hull and hit neighboring houses, residents said.

Question: Did they even announce that they were there and that knew the suspect was in the boat and offer him a chance to give himself up? Did they do the requisite bull-horn announcement, "Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, this is the police (or SWAT Team, Rat Patrol, FBI, Goon Squad, whatever). We know you are inside the boat. Come out now with your hands held up above your head, and no one will get hurt" speil, or did they just start firing at will?
  14. Spooked the police? Like how a horse gets spooked by a snake?

Thought that strange in the picture of him climbing out of the boat, no hands up?

On the audio the commander orders dummy rounds to be fired at the boat. He also calls to hold fire. Like 20 minutes before they can get their own vehicles out of the way to allow the armored one to get to the yard to pull the tarp off. And before they knew the fuel tank was half full and where it was located.
Garden sheds are EXACTLY what should have been checked. Franklin was very close to where he was last seen.

I think somebody said "boo" and the big, mean-looking, scaredy-cats starting shooting back in self-defense.

Sgt Murphy has been suspended pending termination for releasing those photos without authorization.

There is a certain schadenfreude about a questionable police agency eating one of their own over photography.
