Commercial Appeal: Transportation Security Administration officers finish college courses

The agency responsible for protecting America's skies and transportation arteries from terrorists on Wednesday honored the first 13 TSA officers and inspectors in Memphis to complete the training, offered locally by Southwest Tennessee Community College.

One night each week at a TSA office in an undisclosed location  near Memphis International Airport, employees take classes entitled "Introduction to Homeland Security," "Intelligence Analysis and Security Management," and "Transportation and Border Security."
