Can anyone confirm if the TSA is using body scanners today?

I had to go to the airport to pick up a team this evening; In the hour wait for them half the checkpoints the porn-o-vision was turned off and the rest 100% of all those scanned got patted down, and more then a few got very vocal and pissed at the Terrorists Stripping Americans. Also witnessed a LEO (plain clothes, but had a shield on a lanyard, I suspect was a prisoner transport/transfer) put one 3S in her place when she opened her mouth about something (didnt catch what), and he added " you need to shut up as I have no qualms about putting One of your kind down, like a bad dog". At that point you could have heard a rat sneeze at the checkpoint, and the smurfs were scurrying away very quickly.

Well after learning that eotech is owned by L3 I sold all the eotech products I had after finding out they were owned by L3. Also made it well known at the gun club(s) Im members of and summarily they are no longer eotech dealers and most members have sold their eotech sights as well. Some went as far as writing some rather nasty letters to eotech management, and booing them off the property at a three gun match last year.

I also refuse to buy any products from remmington (and there associated companies ), H-S Precision ( because of Lou Horiuchi). I guess I will have to spend a few extra dollars to support a company that doesnt use the constitution for toilet paper or there own greedy means. The up swing is a better quality/more accurate product.

Institutions, and people especially, get very, very angry when such deficiencies are publicly called out.

Is this the official TSA reaction?
(Thanks, TravelnMedic, to you and your gun club for divesting from those firms).

Which is funny, because they've been told this privately for a very, very long time.

How do I know? I was one of the people telling them. They don't care to listen to "outsiders". It's going to be to their detriment.

Don't know if that's the official reaction but seems to be.

At the gun club I'm no one special as im just getting back into shooting after a 15 yr hiatus but a few well placed comments in a post match bs session got the old timers(NRA life members, retired military/LEO, etc) spinning and from there the rest they said is history.

So half the folks when thru WTMD? The other half were scanned and then groped? What was the nature of the grope? Just the sides, or the full monty?

This is sooo d*mn funny I could bust. Those frikin idiots. As if it weren't so trivial for ANY government to acquire these, figure this out, and if they were disposed to NOT like us (pick any middle eastern government) pass on what they learned to "interested parties" for exploitation. Is the TSA really this stupid?

Of course they are. The entire organization, top-down, is nothing but morons.

Do you know how these people test something like this? It goes something like this:

"Hide a gun on your body," followed by, "Now hide some powder on your body," followed by, "Hide a knife on your body."

The way they do this is with stupid people who can't figure out that there are people who would train for weeks to figure out how to hide this stuff. Because I work with imaging, I knew the instant I saw the test images how someone could sneak something through. They can hide their procedures and programs and testing and every other piece of BS they have. Fine. Any intelligent person who understand how imaging works saw this charade the second it started.

But these aren't imaging experts. These are the idiots of the TSA who were too stupid to work in other departments. So, yeah, they really are this stupid.

Most of them are too stupid to work in any department. The rest are thieving, lying, raping, molesting (expletive deleted) who get off on their "job."

Over on FT, I posted a new thread where people could report anything different post-Jon at checkpoints or anywhere else at airports infested by screening clerks. I'll start one here if anyone is interested.

As I said over on FT, you just KNOW that we will all be severely punished for Jon's transgressions.

Of course we will be, and some idiots will be grateful.

TSA is nothing but a reactionary agency that punishes citizens for the agency's own failures.

I, for one, would like to see such a thread devoted to "post-Jon" happenings at checkpoints.

I thought about starting one here but refrained because I was afraid the posts would just duplicate & dilute this thread.

Go ahead & start one, if you wish, but please work to keep the subject focused.

This is what it says at that thread:

  17. Also wondering -- do folks appear to be alarming the scanners in any way, or do they get a green light on the scanner and then get groped?

  18. nachtnebel

    nachtnebel Original Member

After Corbett, the green light means the scanner finished its job of non-detection and its time for the groper to do the real job of finding out what's on your body..

Buh, buh, buh they said that the scanners were faster than the necessary pat down, even the metal detectors!
