Cockpit error sent 737 into Pacific nose dive

    Which is flying by AUTOPILOT.
    The glorified bus driver cranked the thing until the autopilot couldn't compensate anymore, and flipped to instrument controls
    Where was the captain? Still knocking at the door?
    Good Lord! Can you imagine? Those are some lucky passengers.

    Perhaps it doesn't compensate for deliberate manual changes?
