The Texas Congressman said the security agent went too far during a pat-down earlier this month.
"The agent was very aggressive in his pat-down, and he was patting me down where no one is supposed to go,” said Canseco. β€œIt got very uncomfortable so I moved his hand away. That stopped everything and brought in supervisors and everyone else."

This is awesome. If only more of them could feel the cold harsh hands of the molesters and perverts in blue, this would stop very quickly.

I had an email reply today from one of my representatives aides. He asked "Why can't you travel?" My reply was, ask Representative Canseco, he got it good and now knows what everyday Americans get.

Keep the ammo coming TSA, I may hate not being able to travel and being denied my rights, but watching the anger and hatred for you grow is good consolation. :)

I dropped this at Drudge right after I posted it here and it's already up, top of third column.

Of course he was assaulted! It's common knowledge that is "proper procedure".

Ironic that he's from Texas. I hope he tries riding a bus in Houston after they've been taken over by the blue-shirted goons.

And I bet he still votes to fund them.

Both accused the other of assault but neither man was cited. Let's see what would happen if one of us swatted a TSA's hand away from our genitals.

Only TSA would call assault and rape "proper procedure".

Nothing like a random, unpredictable sexual assault to get you on your way at the start of a trip. :td:

I will cheer the day when someone finally gives one of these dirtbags his just deserts.

Of course I'm glad he got a taste of his own medicine -- that which Congress has shoved down our throats -- but will he do anything about it in Washington? Will this wake him up? And his craven colleagues? Don't hold your breath.

An aside here, do I detect a slight change here with the spokeshole adding prior to continuing to a flight or secure area." In the past, did not the TSA insist that the screening must be completed once it had begun, even if the passenger wanted to return to the "unclean" area of the airport?

Who knows? They make up (expletive deleted) on the spot. They change their rules whenever they feel like it. We've seem ample evidence of this.

A claim on the part of a screener that a merely moving his hand off the victim's genitals is "assault" can not go unchallenged. It is a normal reflex te po brush a sexual assailant's hand off one's private parts. It is the psychologically healthy response to a wildly inappropriate boundary violation. Too far is too far.

I have a real problem with the criminalization of psychologically normal reflexes. The impulsive hug of a 4 YO child, the embrace of a mother comforting a child and the reflexive brushing away of a sexual assailant's intruding paws are simply natural, wholesome behaviors that people cannot be expected to curtail.

Glad I read the article. I almost missed the part about him being retaliated against the very next week with another frisking. This time, the clerks called over the cops:

FYI, he's on the House Financial Services Committee, which oversees money and banking at a 50,000' level: So, he's not on a committee even remotely close to the TSA.

For the same reason cops invade your personal space. Defensive actions then become a felony (assault on a police officer).

I'd have to say a psychologically healthy response to a "rough handling of one's genitals" is to punch the perpetrator in the throat.

I would like to see a smurf press charges against a United States Congressman. Bet Pistole would just love that.

Speaking of that jackass, he's been conspicuously silent this week, what with the 4-year-old, the 7-year-old, the 10-year-old, the Congressman, and the elderly couple. Think he's hunkered down in his PR bunker strategizing with his fellow propagandists about how they're going to spin all this?
