Could the opt-out numbers be growing?

    my question on that forum post was whether those are backscatter units or mmw. anybody know? If MMW, this is quite interesting. If backscatter, still interesting, but for different reasons.

    Perhaps as more passengers are learning that being coerced into the scan is no guarantee that they won't be groped they now just go straight to the grope and be done with it.

    At least if you opt out you are in control of the decision. If you submit to the scanner and still get groped, TSA is in control of your choice.

    According to the lists IAH only had MMW and WTMD at last report.

    I suppose that's true, but it's a horrible concept.

    At least you can say that you're making them do it instead of the other way around. It allows the victim to make these creeps do some work and slows up the line.

    I always said that if I have to fly and thus deal with TSA, I'm going to opt out and tell them "If you want to violate my 4th amendment rights, you get to get off your (expletive deleted) and WORK at it. I'm not making it so easy for you as pushing a button."
