As one of the TSA bloggers how do you reconcile Federal Government Censorship on taxpayer funded media? Looking at the pie chart of deleted posts over 25% of postings submitted to the TSA Blog are censored.

Since you continue to participate I have to take it that you do not object to this illegal practice.

 

Have you been taking lessons from He Who Shall Not Be Named in "avoiding the relevant points?"

 

Yeah, unfortunately you often do come across as such or as lecturing. Just my opinion, but to me you also present as being quite rigid. However, I presume the TSA looks for that personality trait in it's employees.

 

I can't comment on the deletions other than to say that if a comment does not follow the posted guidelines, it will be deleted. I do not disagree with removing some of the commentary that is submitted if it violates the posted guidelines.

 

I do not mean to come across that way, although the woman tells me that sometimes too. That is something I will have to work on. If by rigid you mean that I do not change my mind easily/without good cause or quail in the face of commentary to the contrary, then I am guilty as charged.

 

Like the utter lack of a soul? A clinical detachment from anything resembling humanity? The ability to grope one's own grandparent if they're "randomly selected?"

 

Let me repeat myself, West:

I have twice brought up the topic of the public being fearful of transiting a TSA checkpoint and you have yet to acknowledge that passengers are fearful of the TS, except to hide your head in the sand by saying

Why can't you acknowledge the fear factor? Are you afraid that if you acknowledge it, it will be true? That's rigidity, West. Rigidity is used to attempt to deflect unwanted ideas and thoughts from creeping into one's mind. "If I don't acknowledge such and such, it isn't so. I can keep it at bay."

 

So you do disagree with the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Which other Amendments do you choose to ignore?

It is definitely the checkpoint itself and TSA itself that is causing fear in the traveling public. Not fear of terrorists. Not fear of flying. Not fear of crashing, or hijackings, or injury as a result of anything that happens on the plane or in the air. Fear OF TSA. Fear of being stuck in a checkpoint with a BUSHO who wants to irradiate and/or grope the pax, perhaps awakening PTSD memories, and with no way out, no way to avoid the groping. Can't go ahead into the terminal unless you're cleared or else you get arrested. Can't leave or you get an $11,000 fine. Can't break the BUSHO's face in self-defense because hey-o, they're legally immune and you're not.

No way out.

There must always be a way out. For there not to be is intolerable and unacceptable.

TERRORISM IS MORE ACCEPTABLE THAN TRAPPING TRAVELERS AT THE CHECKPOINT.

 

The TSA employees *are* terrorists, profiting from the public's fear.

The average traveler stands a 100% chance of being treated as a potential terrorist while holding an infinitesimally tiny chance of suffering any effect from an actual terrorist event involving WEI.

 

I never said that I don't acknowledge the fear. I merely stated that I do what I can to alleviate that where I work, and other places I may have an influence. I understand that many folks have a fear of many things pertaining to flying, and TSA screening is one of those things. In a perfect world, there would be no fear of transitting the checkpoints, but we do not live in a perfect world. I work to counter-balance that as much as I possibly can. That does not mean that I do not recognize that there are bad apples in the workforce, and I push to have them removed whenever I have a chance. I can do no more than that where I am at this point.

Let me ask this one question in all seriousness.

Where does TSA draw the authority to censor anything a citizen submits to the TSA Blog?

Not a question but if you truly believe in the United States Constitution I cannot fathom how you can work for TSA and comply with your Oath to Defend the Constitution of the United States.

 

The two are mutually incompatible, which is why the TSA is such a draw for incompetence, thievery, and perversion.

I abide by the posted guidelines on the site (at all times) - which were put together by legal at HQ. I can't really discuss anything past that, like the BDO program, I have stopped bringing that up, because I can't give enough information to bring reason to the discussion. I know you have read the page on the TSA site about posting, I can give you no more than that, even though I wish I could.

Just because we disagree on policy, and some other things, does not mean that I don't believe in this countries founding principles and Constitution - it just means we disagree on policy and some other things.

 

Actually, it means exactly that.

The simple fact that you believe in what the TSA does speaks volumes for your complete disregard for pesky little items like the Fourth Amendment.

 

I don't think that the DHS legal department trumps United States law.

It is my understanding that government cannot engage in censorship except in very limited situations. That is the law of the land, except at TSA apparently. That is why I asked where TSA gains the authority to censor citzens speech.

If you agree that government censorship is prohibited under most situation then working for the TSA and the TSA Blog in particular is at odds with your Oath to Defend the Constitution.

So is your Oath to TSA or to the United States?

 

I have already given you the answer that I have Boggie, and the Oath is to the US, it always has been. This is where that disagreement thing comes in, we disagree on some things (not all things, but some things).

 

I have a feeling you disagree with Boggie on the important stuff - like "honesty," "honor," and "integrity."

Or do you actually know what those words mean, and just don't care?

 

I'd bet on the former - like all current TSA employees, their only loyalty is to their ongoing paycheck.

 

Enough of this crap -- discuss the issues and omit the presumptuous personal attacks.
