Thieves Stealing Amerrica strikes again ...

Detroit News: Seniors get the TSA runaround, lose $300

Of course, the cash disappeared, and the elderly couple is getting the royal runaround.

It's a shame, but people need to be more careful, and less trusting. I place all my valuables in my Computer case, and lock it with a NON-TSA lock. If they need to get in my case, I have to be present to unlock the lock for them.

Interesting to note that although this couple seems to travel a bit, it would appear, from his account of the trip to the private room, that this was the first time the gentleman had tested "positive" for explosives, i.e., nitro pills.

I would ask why the TSA did not find those "explosives" in the past?

    Theater, plain and simple.

One grope at a time, one theft at a time, one abuse at a time.

Will the sheeple ever wake up?

    Doubtful.

So they were further harassed. Are you objecting or refusing my request?? FOAD, TSA. FOAD.

I would gladly leave a comment at that article, but it accepts only Facebook comments. Hope those of you on FB will do.

Especially be careful, and less trusting, around TSA Thieves.

  9. There needs to be an effort, maybe through PSA's and leaflets, to educate senior citizens about the threat posed to them by the organized crime operation that has taken over our airports. Something similar to the "don't give out your medicaid number on the phone" efforts. A senior citizen who takes caution and artfully conceals her cash in her bra or somewhere such (fearing theft or loss of her purse, a realistic concern) will have the cash alarm on a scanner or during a patdown and have to hand it over anyway. I think it's a no win for our elders, no matter where they put their cash.

(Also not a facebook user, would otherwise comment.)

I sent a particularly sarcastic and bitterly worded message with this story to my mailing list today. Other than from the handful who already get it, the reaction was a collective shrug. After all, their money isn't being stolen. This stuff only happens to "other" people. "And I would never let my money out of my sight," blah blah blah.

The officer should've told him he could hold it in his hand.

    TSA screeners are hardly officers.

I saw this at lunch and sent to Drudge. By that afternoon Drudge has three TSA stories, including this one and the Bar Rafaelis story from the UK. Only GSA and Secret Service had more stories.

TSA is taking a beating this week. I just love it.

The fact that everyone already knows the TSA urchins stole the money provides a good barometer of public sentiment.

I wouldn't assume that. Kinda dumb to be fired for $300. Plus it's on camera. I've seen one guy fired for picking up a pen left behind at the checkpoint and keeping it rather than turning it in.

Even more telling is the fact that nobody is surprised when the TSA claims the images are too blurry to see which one of their blueshirts stole it - whenever the images show that someone else stole something, the pictures turn out pretty good.

  19. Well, dumb is as dumb does. Kinda dumb to get fired for sticking ipads down your pants, too.
