The bad news about TSA keeps rolling in, #7 ... Dozens of Newark TSA employees to be retrained or disciplined following a crackdown on lax, improper screening

And the frustrations likely will continue. You can only do so much with retards hired from ads on pizza boxes and gas pumps.

Or the ones that were hired earlier than that, but stayed on because they enjoy the "work" or are incapable of finding other "work."

What was that you where saying Blogger Bob about TSA employees being highly trained?

edit to add: Seems to me the increased cost of screening operations should be born by the screeners who can't do their jobs.

Maybe some electro-shock therapy would be an appropriate inducement to get them to remember their procedures. Kinda like Pavlov's dogs, only less humane.

The only electroshock therapy that would be effective is "Ol' Sparky".
  7. So, this is #7 since you started counting a few days ago? I'll bet a shiny nickel that when we get to #10, there will be another TSA blog post about cute fuzzy animals. Most likely bunnies or kitties.

No, I started counting ~24 hours ago. That's 7 jewels of colossal ineptitude in the space of a day.

And those are only the ones that I personally found & reported first. Other TUGgers beat me to the punch on several.

TSA's reputation has truly tanked, but I doubt it's anywhere near bottom yet.

    Oh, (expletive deleted): "elite corps"??
And "misconduct" seems only to be letting bags through. Not a word about pawing and groping passengers, bullying them, trying to intimidate them, etc.
