http://www.deseretnews.com/article/700201445/Editorial-Reform-the-TSA.html?pg=2 While the lack of scientific credibility of the TSA's oft cited "tests" is not discussed, this is a good editorial. People are asking the right questions. I see it as progress.
We need more TUG members to go over there and leave comments. There are so many bozos posting their TSA apologist crap. Please give them (expletive deleted)!
People may be asking the right questions, but anyone who thinks that it is possible to "reform" the TSA hasn't looked at the recidivism rates among child molesters, thieves, and rapists.
Oh, brother, now they're limiting comments at that Deseret News editiorial -- 4 per story per user. I've already used mine up. So this one I just left won't post. Hoping some of you will go over there and set those people straight: "The Real Maverick" writes: "I just have a hard time trusting those who rant against TSA all the time... These are the same folks who voted Bush in... Twice. The same folks who demand that tax cuts for the rich be continued (ya... Since they have worked sooooo great the past decade). The same folks who demanded that we start a war with Iraq. The same folks who were silent for 8 years about the debt. In fact, they said that deficits didn't matter. Etc. etc. etc." Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, on all counts. Not only didn't I vote for that war criminal, not only have I been politically active all my life, including in the Occupy movement, which is staunchly against the looting of this country by the rich, but I'll wager I'm far left of anyone on this board, which also means I'm not snowed by Obama, who's the second coming of GWBush, or the Dems, who are just as bad as the Repubs. You're no maverick if you're taken in by either of them. And no defender of civil liberties if you support the TSA.
Another editorial, this time the WashPo: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/nov/26/no-thanks-to-tsa/
Well, it just got posted. Don't ask me how. Maybe somebody over in Deseret moderation likes the anti-TSA point of view . . . !
Most, if not all, of the articles I've seen at Deseretsince last November tended to be anti-TSA. BTW, great work beating down the TSA troll with facts.
