Spent the day in Vancouver last week with my sisters. As we were entering the US via car from Canada, we were discussing CBP, TSA, DHS baloney. The wait was about 20 minutes so we continued our discussion.

At one point I mentioned something about a dirty bomb and what will happen with security measures when one goes off somewhere in the US. The words were barely out of my mouth when an officer and German Shepherd came sniffing around our vehicle then left.

Was this a coincidence or are there listening devices at border checkpoints? Just curious.

There are listening devices at the border sensitive enough to pick up conversations inside a car with the windows closed.

Seriously, they can detect the vibrations in the glass caused by your voice.

If you had tried a little harder, you probably could have added Gitmo to Fete's World Tour.

Gitmo doesn't happen to be on my bucket list but if that changes I'll know how to get an all-expenses paid one-way trip courtesy of the US Gov't. ;)

I will keep my mouth shut next time :)

I understand they read RFID as well, my passport has a tinfoil hat?
