I just posted a comment. I'm really at a loss for words anymore. So tired of the endless rank stupidity. And since you took the high road, Fisher, and quoted facts and figures, I stuck to sarcasm.

    Great comments from you both.

Bill, may I borrow these two paragraphs to include in an e-mail to one of my senators:

Excellent posts. Too bad the management at DHS/TSA are too dense to see it.

    Here is the problem.

I suspect that if one of us had to drop our trousers, or remove our skirts, in order to fly, we would be shouting it from the rooftops. This person mentions it as an incidental occurance in part of a larger discussion, and is 'OK with it'.

There is no recognition of relative risk, it seems, amongst the general public.

While this article does not pertain to the TSA or security, it is apropos:

Though the author seems a little dense, he does hit this nail right on the head:

The only terrorists I've ever seen at an airport are government workers who now wear blue shirts.

Why is it that people feel terrorized so that they can be protected from terrorists?

I think the answer is embedded in the question.

And another article by someone who doesn't fly. It's been a year since the wands went away. The Nude-O-Scopes don't beep on metal.

Well, that, and if he "rings a bell" he doesn't get a "wanding", he gets a perp frisk.

Noticing that Bill had gone off-line, I took the liberty of including the first paragraph in my e-mail to Menendez.

Apparently, my statement has been censored as it has not appeared. :D

Thank you for your comment, as always.
I was not able to post mine BTW.

I enjoyed the comments added to that article! I disagree with the author's conclusion but he lays it out nicely.
