Not just the "Justice" Dept & the American Stasi (DHS) but the Treasury Department as well ....

Wired/ThreatLevel: Secret Service Seizes JotForm.com, Nuking Millions of Online Forms (Updated)

    First they're gone ...

And then, after they realize they screwed up, the DNS slowly reverts (undoing it isn't instantaneous), no announcement, no apology:

The feds seem to be operating with no judicial oversight and no accountability.

It's beginning to look as though the only sane, safe way to use the web is to utililze domain & web-hosting services in countries that aren't becoming totally anal.

Well i never used godaddy because of there customer service (lack of), but im starting to think its time to ship my domains and hosting to countries that dont cooperate with the stasi.

I won't be using GoDaddy any more. Right now I am in the process of moving my first four domains (registered 12+ years ago when I always had a local ISP do that for me) from Network Solutions to Namecheap.

I will probably start moving most of them to Namecheap just ahead of expirations.

Only reason for leaving Network Solutions is $$$. They just aren't competitive in the current internet environment. I've had zero issues with them in almost almost 17 years.
