I'm not buying it. Really. One child, possibly - two? How the (expletive deleted) does a python kill TWO children without someone screaming at least once? It's not as if a python kills anything instantly.

Maybe that's why the RCMP is treating it as a criminal investigation.

I am not syaing that I buy it in the least. However, the way pythons squeeze, the average child would be unable to do much more than thrash around a bit once it got settled in. They tend to cinch in slowly if the animal does not resist much, and once they cinch in, it gets ugly for the subject of the squeeze. Once they cinch, there is simply no way to get air into the lungs, which is usually what results in death. That being said, it does sound suspicious with 2, maybe if it had only killed the one and ... well, you get the picture.

That's the part I'm not buying. There's no way for a python to get into the "cinch" without someone waking up and screaming their head off.

I used to keep snakes, once upon a time.
