http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/sep/05/heathrow-privacy-bodyscanners Uh oh.... that is the technology which Germany rated 'fail'. A reminder that sanity still reigns in Scotland and Wales and Northern Ireland; it is only England which has lost its head. (Also a reminder that scanner use in the airports which do have them in England is still far lower than in the US, although there still doesn't appear to be an opt-out option) It does sound like there is a chance that BSX at MAN and LHR T5 would be replaced with MMW, but that is little consolation. And may I say that I am rather disappointed in the quality of the report from my usual English language paper, which generally does a better job than this. Remember, I'm one of those dangerous Extreme Left Leaning Europeans, according to one of our TSO friends.
