    I know just enough about posting to find a keyboard. Often I want to embed a link in a post and have to go look up the code.

    I use this one often as a guide and then edit the script for my needs:

    <a href="http://www.marty.net">Marty!</a>

    Now being the brianiac that I am I have trouble remembering the code so I have to go look it up everytime.

    Question, is there a short hand way of posting the above without having to either type it directly in or as I do it do a copy and paste then fill in the new info?

    Thanks.

    You can't use HTML in posts here.

    The easiest way to do a link is to drag your cursor over the text to be linked ("Marty" in your example), clink on the "link" icon above (it looks like a chain link) and then paste in your URL ("http://www.marty.net" in your example).

    Alternatively, you can code it in UBB code, e.g.

    Code:
    [URL="http://www.marty.net"]Marty[/URL]

    Over at PV posting a comment with html is not so easy. I have resorted to using the script I posted upthread then pasting in the info I need to use. I guess I could practice typing the script. Might be faster after I learn it.

    PV uses WordPress, which does allow limited use of HTML in responses.
