History repeats itself with TSA’s strip-search tactics My latest at TSA News. Please go over and leave comments if you have a minute.
A fine, fine article Lisa. I still can't manage to post over there (don't get me started) but I wanted to tell you -- nail on the head.
Oh, thank you. Don't understand why you can't post comment. Doesn't a window come up asking you to register with WordPress?
Oh, it's so weird. I registered, got all kinds of confirmation, can log in to the main Word Press site, and then when I try to log in in such a way I can get to that particular blog, my account doesn't exist. I went over and over it and then gave up.
Ha! Thank you, but they'll never go for it. First of all, they'll make me add "alleged" or "allegedly" to every other word. Second, they won't allow the formidable list of facts, properly sourced of course, because too many of their editorial writers are TSA apologists. Third, I have no contacts except at the Balto Sun, and they just love the TSA there. Fourth, Amy Alkon, who does have contacts, at newspapers all over the country, offered a hard-hitting editorial that nobody would take. All I can do is point people to the TSA News blog and hope that somebody, somewhere gets a clue.
Oh, dear. Terribly sorry. I know nothing about this internet stuff and often just give up on sites as well.
Lisa, beautifully written as always. But I think it's Lenore Zimmerman, not Elaine. Also, the two links in that paragraph (the one from Mrs Zimmerman and from Ruth Sherman) don't work for me; CBS may have rearranged their site or something.
T Thanks! Name fixed. And yes, CBS had already removed those pages (why do sites, especially news organizations do this??). So I linked to other news sources.
You should have heard one of the reports on the local CBS radio station yesterday morning! They got the stories completely twisted and intertwined as to be almost unrecognizable. A great piece, Lisa.
I noticed that yesterday. After going to their homepage, I found that it is because they posted a new story to account for the other incidents being reported.
