DHS should be disbanded. All component agencies of DHS should be aligned with appropriate Department or returned to their original Department. New agencies should be considered for disbandment.
And yet the asses just approved an increase in the TSA security fee...lip service, just lip service. By doing this they're basically saying full steam ahead...keep doing what you're doing
However, some of us think the fee increase is a great idea. The more people pay for their abuse, the less they will "appreciate" it. I'm all for making people pay for every last cent of their abuse as long as they know that they are paying for it.
I would agree with you IF they even knew they're paying for the abuse...but they don't or they don't care...just like the idiots I watched at SJU this week.
As I've pointed out before, TSA costs $12 per screening, this is based on the $8 billion/year budget and 790 million pax in 2010.
For now taxpayers are picking up $9.50 even if they don't fly. make them pay the full grope cost and it will inflict yet more damage on the industry and TSA as a by product.
The airlines do tell you how much is for security fees, although it's more conspicuous with award tickets. I would even encourage them to print those amounts on the boarding passes.
Why would they want you to know how much you're paying because they like having the TSA around as their whipping boy for complaints?
Which, in reality, isn't worth a thin dime...
Like a pedophile ex-priest?
