Homeland Security Wants Mozilla to Pull “Domain Seizure” Add-On
Anything requested by our Ministerium für Staatssicherheit (best known by its East German abbreviation -- Stasi) should get a big fat middle finger.
This is a copyright issue, not a security issue. As with the Occupy Wall Street suppression, and the use of national security letters, etc. we see the use of anti-terrorism methods on legitimate movements, or, at best for the government, rather ordinary civil or criminal violations. All part of the many headed beast (TSA is one of them) that is the national security state.
Perhaps a bit off-topic but still related (all this stuff, alas, is related), but Bloomberg today is trumpeting the apprehension of a supposed suspect with supposed links to "terrorism" for his supposedly dangerous intentions -- intentions, mind you. Feeble attempt at distraction from his handling of OWS and feeble -- but predictable and increasingly common -- attempt by DHS, et. al. to pretend they're protecting us all from The Scary Terrorists.
