Had my credit card used illegally by a hotel employee years ago. Guy cleaned out my bank account. When I made my way back to the hotel a few months later I called in the police and we had a nice chit-chat with the hotel manage in the lobby. At first the manage feigned lack of knowledge of the incident, but as facts kept coming to the table his memory got much better. I wasn't the only one who had their credit card abused. Now when checking in I tell them to turn off the phone, movies and anything else that would result in a charge. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
