    Houma Today: TSA: Perception of safe travel

    Let’s recap: I am made to take a completely safe locked firearm from a secure gate to an unsecure area.

    I carried a walking stick weapon through the secure area to the unsecured area only to be told I couldn’t bring it back to the place I just came from.

    I should also mention they didn’t like my form of ID, a Transportation Worker Identification Credential. This is a document issued by TSA after a series of extensive background checks and assessments. Most TSA agents don’t even know what they are.
