Do not assume that I'm defending the shooter. Not even in the slightest.

At the same time, I'm unsurprised by this sort of thing happening to/with people who're willing to "work" for the TSA, or to those who're willing to have "relationships" with them.

At least there will not be a taxpayer funded trial and jail sentence.

You really need to step back and and THINK about what you're posting. Mindless TSA-bashing (whether or not there is any basis in reality) in the end only reflects on you and detracts from the discussions here.

The violence in this case was perpetrated by someone who did not work for TSA. It's a situation that happens all too often with jilted lovers/spouses and has nothing to do with any particular profession on the part of the victims.

I've thought about it long and hard for the last three years. I have not said that what happened was justified - just that such behavior can be expected from people who "work" for the TSA and/or engage in "relationships" with them.

If you persist, you'll be finding a lot of your posts in a consolidated mindless-TSA-bashing thread in the moderation area.

They detract from the actual discussions, and I'm tired of reading them. If I get tired of that, I can always arrange a vacation (not for me).

I will, of course, leave that up to you. It's a bit odd, though, coming in the same thread with the posts telling someone else they shouldn't have deleted something they had posted.

I'd step in about now, but it's been recently demonstrated that my de-escalation skills are worse than non-existant.

"Can't we all just get along?", she asked in her best whiny voice?

I've just had one of them apostrophes. It was like a beam of light to me brain.

This Christmas I'm marketing TSA Clerk Piñatas. Any takers?

If it wouldn't get me in all kinds of trouble, I'd order a gross or more and hang them from every tree in town.

Why did he shoot at the coworker? One report said there was no romantic involvement between the two screeners but another reported that hey lived together.

Several arrangement come to mind which would not involve romance. I think we just have to stay tuned & hopefully we will find out.

Far as I'm concerned, sex is nobody's business except for the three people involved. :D

Sweet looking gal. She reminds me somewhat of Betty Boop. Women who die young at the hands of bat-(expletive deleted)-crazy ex husbands get a free pass with me. Whatever her faults, she simply didn't have enough time on this earth to work on them.

The name of the other smurf is Julio Roman ...

Medina Post: Medina woman killed by Strongsville husband at airport (Dec 11 2012)

Cleveland police said her husband, 28-year-old Ahmad Alkahder of Strongsville, followed his wife and Julio Roman, a fellow TSA worker from Medina, with whom she was riding to work. He rammed their vehicle as they were pulling into the Riveredge Parking lot at Hopkins Airport and fired approximately five shots into their car.

Investigators said Roman got out of the car, but Ahmad Alkahder chased him and fired several shots, missing on each one. Alkahder then turned the gun on himself.
