Oh I hope so! And it makes sense for the TSA to drop the case. Otherwise they are going to look like complete dicks on a national stage, because the media is bound to pick this up big-time, especially after all of the recent media attention on TSA bad behavior.

I have to admit part of me wants it to go forward, just because I truly believe it will be Mocek redux. Especially after reading the falsified police report and comparing it to the actual video, I just can't imagine any scenario in which this case can be lost! Unless, of course, Andrea ends up with the dumbest jury since OJ.

No doubt they'll attempt a plea bargain at minimum. TSA really doesn;t need this on the heels of the Seattle incident, the KCI breats cancer survivor abuse story and the ABC theft sting.

They're really on a long losing streak and with the elections looming, a story on the prosecution of Andrea would go very badly for them. I know they're idiots, but they do have Congressional allies who have enough sense to see how this would play out and will intervene.

I hope going forward is your way of saying (expletive deleted) TSA.

If they drop the charges would that amount to malicious prosecution? Take the battle to the enemy

Best wishes, good luck, and thank you Andrea!

Though I will agree, it is in the TSA's best interests to keep this from going to trial, so I wouldn't be surprised if the charges get dropped altogether. If it goes to trial, the TSA idiots will have to take the stand.:)

Better that than give the Freedom Fluffers the opportunity to hold her and have her end up with a warrant for failure to appear.

You know those Pedosmurfs would do it if they had the chance.

Tennessean (Associated Press): Clarksville mother on trial in pat down case (Oct 22 2012)

Jury selection is under way in the trial of a Clarksville mother who berated Transportation Security Administration officers trying to pat down her teenage daughter at the Nashville airport.

Andrea Abbott is charged with disorderly conduct in the July 2011 confrontation.

Attorney Brent Horst has said his client may have been loud, but she was only exercising her right to free speech.

Abbott testified at a preliminary hearing last year that she was confused by the screening process. She thought her 14-year-old daughter had been singled out for a pat-down, but officers wouldn’t tell her why.

According to an affidavit filed in the case, Abbott first refused to allow her daughter to go through a body scan machine, saying she didn’t want “someone to see our bodies naked.”

Abbott and her daughter were then sent through a metal detector and Transportation Security Officer Karen King was sent to conduct a pat-down.

King testified at the preliminary hearing that Abbott “started yelling, saying no one was going to grab her daughter’s crotch. She kept repeating it over and over. She was quite loud.”

Abbott eventually allowed her daughter to undergo the pat-down. But then she refused to the pat-down for down herself and was arrested.

Abbott was accompanying her daughter to the gate but not flying herself.

Airport Police Officer Jeff Nolen testified at the preliminary hearing that Abbott created a disturbance by cursing and calling TSA officers pedophiles.

The case briefly drew national attention as hundreds offered Abbott support and donations amid debate over whether new, intrusive screening methods should be allowed at airports.

The TSA, local cops and news media are trying very hard to keep people confused about what actually happened. Here's a pretty good breakdown:

Andrea Abbott has gone through (expletive deleted) because of the lying thug-cop and molesting TSA-perv. She comes here occasionally for a bit of support. Please be kind.

He wasn't being "unkind", and discussions here don't have to toe any particular line. He was simply asking questions based on what he's read, which includes a lot of disinformation from TSA & the prosecution fed through the media.

I apologize for implying the other member was being unkind. My intent was only to solicit kindness, not to imply unkindness had occurred.

just saw this at the other place:

I sure as heck hope they saw the video!

PS I am getting several "server errors" a day. When I get one upon trying to post a comment, duplicates of my comment will appear.

    Yes, they saw the video.

I've been having similar difficulty with "server errors", although I think the problem may have been resolved in the last hour or so.
