Is it cool to link to the other site?

  1. There's a powerful testimony of a double opt out from a vocal survivor of a TSA sexual assault as one of the top threads right now...

Okay, I'm wondering if this is Sommer. She uses her full name 90% of the time, so I don't know why she wouldn't use it in this account if indeed it is her. I don't know. In any case, it's awful. Multiply it thousands of times for a more realistic idea of what's going on in this country, how many traumatized people have to go through this (expletive deleted), and how many millions of their fellow citizens don't care.

  6. I think it is. I've read the stories from Sommer and "mybodyismyown" in different places, and they seem to match up.

She has stopped flying, so for her to even attempt this is huge. Also, her husband is a physician.

I just sent the link (this, the TUG link) to my TSA mailing list, which she's on, so I may hear back from her. In any case, I won't, of course, reveal her identity if it is her and if she doesn't want me to.

No. They are are not our subject here.

It is ok to mine the "other site" for subjects, but please do your own research and write your own posts here. Something like this should be discussed there (if you're among the few that still bother to post there) or just ignored.

All who have been involved in any kind of TSA-related activism (e.g. the Nudo-O-Scope sites & flyers) have been pretty much driven out by some of the worst, most inconsistent moderation imaginable. They're not worth any further contributions from us. I personally have not posted there since mid-May when they put Blogger Bob up on a pedestal & said we couldn't criticize or discuss him since he is a "member".

  9. Okay! I just didn't know how to frame this one. It seemed valuable.

That's interesting. I grew weary of the "other site" months ago because of all the inane postings from the TSA supporters. We have to put up with the TSA's aggressive propaganda and drivel throughout "polite society" and throughout the media. I went looking for ONE PLACE where people actually understood that the TSA is nothing more than an employment program for society's most unemployable people.

I'm glad to find this place. I'm so weary of the TSA. And so weary of our fourth amendment rights being nothing more than a fond memory of a happier time in American history.

I'm quoting the text from the original poster at FT so people can see what it's about without having to go over there (bolding mine):

Precicely! At the "other" site TSA supporters would bash us for "Anti-TSA" sentiment which would, of course, evoke a miriad of comments. Then the mods would deride us for "piling on" the TSA sympathizers. What a load of horse-:trash:!
