It's time for the Obama administration to go. This kind of problem is serious. Panetta, Napolitano, Pistole and their ilk have no place in government service. I'm glad that Panetta realizes he might be in danger, but I doubt he understands or respects the people he fears. It's high time we got a decent leader into the White House, someone who can put together a credible staff.

They have no respect for the constitution and treat the presidency as if it were an imperial office. Too many voters see nothing wrong with this. Just another illustration that the federal system is broken beyond repair. I'm just hoping states can regain some of the power they've lost before the executive branch stops giving even lip service to the constitution.

Panetta probably imagines he has valid concerns for his personal safety. What he said to Congress was shocking. It was enough to insure the Marines consider him to be scum of the lowest order. They've had low opinions of politicians before. Panetta's safe, I regret to report. The Marines might short-sheet him, put a bug in his canteen and look for turbulence to fly his helicopter through, but they're not going to shoot him.

Unfortunately, whoever's elected in November will just continue the same things.

I agree -- sadly. We're on a path that we just can't seem to leave.

I'm hoping that for once we will get someone who can see that we have to change course or run aground.
I know one thing, we will only get more of the same if Team Obama stays in the game.

The image of Sgt Ludovic offing Major Hound in Sword of Honour (based on Waugh's book) with a Webley 45 comes to mind....

Santorum scares me more than Romney. Not that that's a high bar.
