That's not going to go over well -- airlines that fly non-stop to Asia will benefit, airlines with hubs in Tokyo (UA, Delta) will lose. A 1:10 chance of being groped translates to 1:5 for a round trip.

Delta will be wishing they had those 787s.

People use to think we were crazy doing all those weekend mileage runs to Europe & Australia. Now I'm glad we traveled when we could. It was a good ten years.

Yeah. I never managed to get to Japan, which is too bad. I always wanted to go to one of the Iron Chef restaurants (and by Iron Chef I mean Chin and Sakai). No way am going to deal with the TSA here, and then the biometrics and body searches in Japan.

I wonder how tourism is in Japan right now?

well looks like japan just got struck off the list. I wonder how long this lasts when tourism takes a nose dive.

Wow, so the Japanese are just as stupid and paranoid as Americans. Very disappointing.

Evidently this has been going on at narita since Jan. No same sex either. I read an account of one black gentleman who got his testiclees rubbed by a female screener there in one of these random rubdowns.

Are you sure he was in the airport when that happened? It is Japan after all.
