Jet Blue flight attendant found with heroin under uniform

    The article says she had around 2 pounds of heroin. If I'm not mistaken that is a significant amount.

    The bigger issue is the failure of TSA to take screening of all people entering the so-called sterile area seriously by allowing airport/airline workers full access without screening.

    If TSA functions were really about security then they would be screening everyone for threats not for theater as we see now.

    TSA is a complete waste of 8 Billion Dollars each year.

    She was caught by Customs, not TSA, after a "direct flight from Colombia to Orlando". Looks like Mickey won't be getting a fresh supply of smack just yet. :D

    This also illustrates how trusted classes of people (a flight attendant in this case) who are not subjected to the same normal checks security as the rest of us can be bribed ($10K here) to transport contraband.

    Drugs today, bombs tomorrow?

    Flights originating outside the US must still meet TSA screening standards and TSA does not screen flight crew.
