John Pistole tells passengers to pound sand re: White House petition to abolish TSA

Apparently at whitehouse.gov you can sign a petition someone has created to abolish TSA.

According to whitehouse.gov, they will only respond to petitions that receive 5,000 signatures in 30 days. This petition was created yesterday and has just under 100 signatures.

You know what to do!

Wow, freaky. I just got linked to the WH petitions page from FriendlyAtheist for a couple of other ones there. I saw the TSA petition and was about to report on it here.

I would, though, like to call my fellow TUGgers' attention to another petition on that page. The one about...*ahem*...extraterrestrials.

Which has 2042 signatures. 2042 to the anti-TSA petition's 515. Which says to me that more people care about the government admitting the aliens have landed than about ending TSA civil-rights abuses.

*sigh* Lawdy, we gots a long way to go.

 

Looking over the list of names of signers, I find it extremely interesting that more men than women are signing the petition.

 

I was signer 656 and linked to my facebook page - also forwarded to friends and family.

 

Ideally it'd be an exact 50/50 split.

Actually, no, strike that. Ideally it would precisely match the demographic proportion of males to females in the overall US population as each and every last US goddamn citizen would sign this thing.

 

Likewise - signed, facebook'd, delivered.

 

Aliens are people, too. Don't forget that we all share inalienable rights.

Right. Which means we have the right to have...um, aliens...to have aliens inside us. In-alien-able. Sooooo, we basically have the right to be John Hurt in "Alien."
