Perhaps like me you have wondered just how safe you and your property are when transiting a TSA Checkpoint. Who are these people? Well you might want to sit down for this.

    From TSA:

So apparently a TSA employee can be a rapist, murderer, kidnapper, and many other bad things as long as it was over 10 years prior to hiring on with TSA.

I would think that a murderer would never qualify for a security position of any kind but apparently at TSA you are good to go.

Wonder how their criteria is different from other Fed agency /clearances. As someone who went through (expletive deleted) to get agency-reported BS expunged, (and still can't get gov reinstatement/hire to save my life), I'm one curious kat.

Amazing that any delinquency on a student loan is immediately disqualifying, --but violent crime, aggravated assault, not so much.

    They do say, however:
Which makes you wonder when this screening criteria --in reality-- started to be used.

They want people who are good at what they do, and if you haven't been caught again in ten years, that's a big plus!!!

What makes you think they actually apply the published criteria?
