On the xray machines, the images do not disappear like they do with the AIT. They stay there until the new incoming bag replaces them, so if one person gets tapped to go to another position, the image of their last bag is still on the screen.

(these are not the ones we use, but they are the same technology) those images on the screen do not just disappear, they move along off screen as the new images come in.

** Edit to add - I have been informed that some of the higher end xray machines actually do operate one image at a time and the screen clears after each item rolls in and out. This is not typical of the types of xrays used in most governmental areas that require them (TSA, courthouses, etc).

Keep in mind the machines used at most airports are not from this company, I just used the first link with a physical representation of the imagery on the screen. Essentially the majority of equipment used around the world are the same thing. There are much higher end machines, but the cost of them is substantially higher than what is in most governmental screening areas.

The most common xray I have seen in checkpoints is made by Rapiscan.

I didn't say I was cool with the rest of the situation, but what stopped me at first was ...well as previously posted-when who sees which bag.

 

Unless the line closed right behind the to-be-arrested dagger woman, the image would have been replaced with the next items. What makes more sense to me (and BD?) is that the images were kept b/c of the water anomoly and another review yielded the "pointy" object. The images are kept and shared on networks!

 

Maybe we have discovered some TSA SSI BS.

Anything based on Windows NT (which includes XP) has networking capabilities.
