I should have been doing my homework earlier but is there a fast track through LHR Customs & Immigration? What is the criteria?

    Thanks from the dog-ate-my-homework crowd...

Which airline are you flying in on?

Delta - nice flight, received a complimentary pass to FastLane of Customs and Immigration - went through in about 5 minutes which the other queue was close to an hour.

On your way out if this is your second visit to the UK within 6 months you may be able to enrol for the IRIS programme for future visits.

Here's the link for IRIS. I'm hoping to go there a few times in 2011, so I might sign up. I already love GE/NEXUS.

Not a lot of use signing up for IRIS; it's being abolished in the near future (next 6 months or so).

    Abolished? To be replaced, hopefully?

It's already replaced, after a fashion, with the ePassport gates, but they are not usable by non-EEA nationals.
