This was so bizarre, I just had to post.

This drug addled woman somehow thought that spending six hours in a Wal-Mart trying to make meth was an okay thing to do.

And if you needed any other reason not to do meth, look at her photo. She looks much older than 45.

Cops: Woman spent six hours in a Wal-Mart making meth

TULSA – Tulsa police arrested a 45-year-old woman they said mixed chemicals together to make methamphetamine inside a Wal-Mart store.

“She didn’t have the money to make the purchases of the chemicals that were needed so she was taking what was needed in the bottle,” Tulsa Police Officer David Shelby told FOX23.com.

Meth is a good poster child for not legalizing drugs.

I'm generally all for legalizing drugs, but I'm not sure about meth.

As with all drugs though, there's so much misinformation out there. Pot and ecstasy have been deemed to have no useful purpose - except now it turns out that there are medicinal uses for pot, and studies have begun again on the use of ecstasy to help ease PTSD. Is there a use for meth? I don't know. My gut says 'no', but truthfully, I don't know. And what would happen if you could just buy it at the store? Would that curb the criminal and tweaky behavior? Don't know.

But yeah, it does seem like a pretty vile drug.

Wow, the years of substance abuse has really aged this woman. :(

Just because something is legal doesn't mean it's available on store shelves.

Amphetamines ARE legal and prescribed all the time.
People addicted to meth need first of all medical help and then perhaps a controlled substitute, like methadone for heroin.
I've tried following-up on trials using (MDMA?) for PTSD but to no avail, (sort of like getting legal assistance, come to think of it).

Amphetamines have there uses (ADD, ADHD) but the methods/chemicals to make this version is bad stuff as it's toxic and explosive, hence the term "nazi method" and just destroys the body (track marks, burns, rotted teeth, etc) & mind.

Certain drugs I'm for legalization as it would lower alot of societal problems. With legalization I say tax drugs like tabacco and alcohol, as it sure would put a good dent in the national debt.

This story is just sad. I feel sorry for this woman.

Meth is a horrible drug and a horrible addiction.

But no matter the substance, people are going to try to find a way to get high from it. Look at glue sniffing and aerosol inhaling. There's all kinds of weird (expletive deleted) humans try to get high from.

I'm still for the legalization of all drugs. And I say this as a person who can't stand any of them. Give me a nice glass of wine and a good meal and I'm happy. That's the extent of my "substance" interest. But what we have in this country is legalized slavery -- people thrown in jail for nothing more than putting into their bodies what they want, none of which is anybody else's business. Then they get thrown into prisons -- increasingly for-profit prisons -- so gluttonous corporations can get even richer. It's obscene.
