Let's play TSA karaoke, everybody chip in & add a line:

Q: How many SPOTniks worked shoulder-to-shoulder with this guy and never detected that he was hauling child porn to and from his workplace?

    A: All of them.

  6. I was just thinking something similar -- in what parallel universe does somebody not consider that bringing their child porn to work is a bad idea?

Apparently in the TSA parallel universe and this one two.

This incident does not reflect on the other 65,000 TSAsswipes in the agency.

By my count this makes 16 arrested for child sex crimes in 30 months. How many are still out there?

  11. Which is anybody who forces a traveler into a secret back room for intimate touching, for one thing.

The perv was an LTSO. Perversion pays at TSA.

TSA: Child porn suspect was top officer

    Probably a TSA BDO.

They do seem to have a disproportionately high number of pervs amongst them, don't they?

I disagree with the term "BDO," though - because as I've mentioned before, calling a moron, thief, pervert, or thug an "officer" doesn't make them one.

Ironic that in this country you are innocent until proven guilty so this pervert continued to work while he was under investigation for an entire year. But if you are an airline passenger - well, same laws don't apply because everyone is considered guilty until proven innocent.

If they're the boss and feel untouchable. Feel it's safe to hide it there. Or want to have it there to trade.

And that's my bet, given the nature of the average TSA employee.

The parallel universe of a psychopath, who doesn't believe that anything he/she does is wrong or who does believe that he/she is above the law.

BTW, over at the other place, a comment was made that everyone coming out of NBS was being required to show the back and front of their hands. Seems like the TSA there could be fearful of someone taking a punch at one of them (surely they aren't concealing anything, because NBS would have found it  ) and this is a way of "disarming" anyone who had in mind to do such a thing.

It was on a personal laptop in his locker, where employees leave all sorts of stuff that they don't/can't use on the job. I would guess (don't know for sure) that the thumb drives were in the laptop bag.

Other than having child porn on his computer in the first place, I don't see anything particularly dumb, stupid, or sinister in this.

I thought it was more a place to hide the things they've stolen.

There's no need for any TSA employee to take personal items to the airport that might require a "locker."
