Some of you may remember this from last November, but it seemed relevant, especially after the thread on the Miami Police attempting to destroy video evidence from a police shooting. What will it take for TSA clerks to understand that filming or photographing the checkpoint is not against the rules?
Filming checkpoints is only one area that TSA screening clerks can't seem to learn what to do. Recall the Shoes in the Bin/Shoes on the Belt fiasco, or ID cards? TSA employees are so poorly trained they cannot perform their most basic duties.
I have expectations that, like other licensed professionals, LEO's are educated in the law and up to date on statutes and ordinances. However, I wonder what's up with behavior like that shown in the video. Here's my theories: Oh they know the law but are playing chicken...who gives up first and goes home Intimidation - congregate and look authoritative Honest ignorance TSA get's by with a load of crap every day, why can't LEO's Defer to the boss Although things ended well for these two, I have high expectations of law enforcement but maybe I shouldn't.
