    Again, Mica is in the pocket of the military-security industry (or is it vice-versa? this metaphor always confuses me -- maybe because the bribers and the bribees are so intertwined). I still don't think privatization is going to make any difference as long as they're still scoping and groping people. San Francisco has been using private screeners for years and there are still plenty of familiar horror stories coming out of there.

    Big difference: Private screeners have no federal immunity or protection.
